Dr. Neha Nimmagadda
Dr. Neha Nimmagadda was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Anthropology and then attended medical school at the Keck School of Medicine at University of Southern California, where she graduated in the top 10% of her class and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Nimmagadda completed her general surgery residency at Rush University/Cook County Hospital, gaining extensive experience in treating a variety of surgical diseases in a diverse patient population. She further specialized by completing a fellowship in colorectal surgery at Emory University, where she honed her skills in advanced surgical techniques and patient management.
Dr. Nimmagadda joined Piedmont Colorectal Associates following fellowship. She is certified in minimally invasive techniques, including robotic and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Nimmagadda offers comprehensive care for a wide range of colorectal conditions, such as colorectal cancers, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and motility disorders. She also provides office-based treatments and ambulatory surgery for common anorectal conditions, including hemorrhoids, abscesses, anal fistulas, fecal incontinence, and anal fissures. In addition, Dr. Nimmagadda performs both screening and diagnostic colonoscopies.
Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Nimmagadda enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, hiking, and hosting dinner parties. She values the time spent with her loved ones and finds joy in exploring new cultures and cuisines.
