Megan Fawbush, NP-C
Megan Fawbush, NP-C was born in Indiana where she received both a licensed practical nursing degree as well as a four year degree in Nursing. She then moved to Georgia where she provided care for colorectal patients admitted to Piedmont Hospital for nearly a decade. She then received her Master’s degree with Honors from Vanderbilt University and became certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
She was recruited by Piedmont Colorectal Associates in 2014. This experience has enabled her to develop a broad knowledge and skill set of both office based and inpatient surgical disorders affecting colorectal health. She splits her time between treating patients in the clinic and the hospital, as well as surgical assisting in the operating room. She was certified as a robotic surgical assistant in 2015 and has assisted in over 250 robotic surgeries. In the clinic, she treats a wide range of anorectal conditions including condylomata, hemorrhoids, pruritis, anal fissures, abscesses/fistulae, pilonidal cysts, constipation and fecal incontinence. She is accepting new patients at both the Piedmont Atlanta and Stockbridge locations. Megan will also be leading the expansion of High Resolution Anoscopy (HRA) in the office in the fall of 2018. HRA is part of the newest recommendations for screening, monitoring and treatment of condylomata and other HPV-related problems.
In her free time, Megan enjoys hiking, traveling, trying new restaurants around the city and spending time with her husband Colby, and their rescue dog Houla. Megan is also excited to be learning Spanish!
